First Official Online Meeting of the InclusiGardens Project

Today, we held the first official online meeting of the InclusiGardens: Digital and Sustainable Pathways to Social Inclusion through Urban Gardening project. Representatives from all partner organizations participated in the meeting: Slovenia’s Društvo za permakulturo as the project coordinator, and Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec from Croatia and eVRgreen Studio from the Netherlands as project partners.

This meeting marked the first steps in implementing the project, and we are excited to begin working together towards achieving its goals. InclusiGardens focuses on empowering vulnerable groups, such as the unemployed and individuals with lower levels of education, by providing education on urban micro-gardening.

The main objectives of the project include:

  • Creating a digital hub for sustainable gardening, serving as a learning and knowledge-sharing platform.
  • Developing a modular toolkit with practical guidelines for micro-gardening.
  • Designing an e-Cookbook with recipes and zero-waste cooking tips using ingredients from micro-gardens.
  • Applying gamification to make education more accessible and engaging for diverse groups.
  • Designing a curriculum for urban gardening, which will be implemented through pilot workshops.

We are thrilled to embark on this journey and look forward to presenting the first project results soon. Stay tuned for updates and inspiration on urban gardening and sustainable practices on our page!
